Retail for an Icon
When the Museum of Modern Art made the decision to construct a museum shop across the street, this design was selected out of three submissions in a competition judged by a MoMA committee including Phillip Johnson. With a relatively small footprint, and the asset of a double height space, the concept utilized the modern movement as design inspiration while providing extensive and varied merchandise presentation opportunities. Merchandise varied from small case display accessories to full size furniture.
