Commuter destination retail

AK Plaza Suwon is a commuter rail and bus destination, regional mixed-use center for the City of Suwon, a culturally significant city near Seoul. Built above the existing Suwon Railway Station without interrupting rail traffic, it was designed to capitalize on the constant flow of daily commuter traffic, as well as support the circulation challenges of a high traffic railway station.

The six-story development includes a 30,000m Aekyung department store, a specialty retail center, multiplex cinemas, restaurants, public roof garden and Korean cultural center. AK Plaza Suwon created a civic destination for the community and an innovative model for future commuter transit focused developments within Korea.
